Passionate About Inspiring Others
When I started my research career about 20 years ago, I always dreamt of helping others to achieve more in life. I have been coaching students from my school days in India. In fact, I coached 2 students from a government school in Mumbai at my lunch break once a week in Mathematics. This was voluntary and organised by my class teacher who had confidence in me.
When I came to the UK for the second time in the year 2004 to join my husband , I decided to try my hand at teaching my beloved subject
here. I enrolled in Teacher's training taster courses before getting a job in Department of Physics & Astronomy at Manchester University.
In 2010, I applied for the PGCE at the Open University, and was placed at a school in Salford. However, that did not work out quite well, and I left the course to rejoin Jodrell Bank. I finished my appointment there last year, and I am currently writing a graduate level text book on the subject of Interstellar Molecular Clouds.
